Musicmaker Ltd. is one of Ireland’s leading music shops. We aim to provide for Dublin’s vibrant music scene, from young to old, beginner to professional. Born out of the Rock revolution of Dublin in the 1980s, Musicmaker has been at the forefront of Ireland’s music scene since first opening its doors in Mary’s Abbey in January 1980. In 1981, we relocated to the now iconic Exchequer Street building just yards from Grafton Street, in the heart of Dublin City Centre.
Over thirty years later, and Musicmaker continues to support musicians with top quality instruments and experiences. Now a Dublin institution, we take pride in contributing to Ireland’s strong musical tradition in ways that go far beyond those of a typical music shop.
Musicmaker offers so much more than musical instruments. In the past few years we have worked hard to revitalize our business after coming under new management——big or small, we support Irish bands, host guest appearances with musicians from all over the world, help out at your favorite summer festivals, run a distribution company, and offer lessons in a variety of instruments at our MAD Music School.
