Sonor AQ2 Safari Set - Aqua Silver Burst

With the AQ2 Series you can choose out of a broad range of pure maple drums offering the ultimate combination of great sound, setup flexibility, wide choice of finishes and portability.  We offer five standard configurations to start with, all featuring our new 7-ply all maple shell construction (4 plies of Canadian maple, 3 plies of Asian maple). The drums share fittings and finishes, offering the flexibility to mix and match within the whole AQ2 Series. Now you can extend the standard configurations with add-on drums to build your desired setup.

The AQ2 Series drums come with new designed shell hardware and a new tom mounting system: the SmartMount. This minimalistic yet functional mount has the true German design and engineering spirit inside: optimal sound sustain with a minimal amount of hardware on the drum shell.

  • TuneSafe – all lugs equipped with TuneSafe for maximum tuning stability

  • 45° Bearing Edges – minimal contact between head and drum

  • Minimalistic Functional Design – minimize the amount of metal parts on the shell

  • Integrated lug-and-mount concept – optimal sound sustain with a minimal amount of hardware fitted on the drum. Improved lug design (stands 12 NewtonM.!)

  • 2-point suspension system – minimizing contact points for optimal sustain and clean look

  • German Engineering – Smart Mount & lugs engineered by the Sonor R&D team in Bad Berleburg

  • Advanced Projection System (APS) acoustic rubber insulators – preventing direct contact between shell and mount for optimal sustain
