Fender Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster PF - Vintage White
The Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster represents a legendary collaboration between Fender and the iconic guitarist of Dinosaur Jr., J Mascis. This guitar is designed with aspiring guitarists in mind, offering effortless playability. Its visually striking poplar body features a glossy finish that exudes a dreamy allure, while its graceful contours inspire the ambitions and talents of budding musicians. Furthermore, its slim and lightweight construction, along with a comfortable "C" shaped neck, ensures that you can play smoothly and avoid the discomfort of shoulder strain.
The tremolo bridge enhances your musical expression, allowing for fluid vibrato, enabling you to perform dramatic pitch bends or add subtle shimmer to your chords at your discretion. The choice is entirely yours. Sealed die-cast tuners guarantee that your tuning remains precise and dependable. The powerful and versatile Squier Jazzmaster single-coil pickups are well-suited for a wide range of playing styles. With the volume and tone controls at your disposal, you have the freedom to sculpt your desired sound with precision.
Smooth playability
From the sturdy tremolo bridge that allows for smooth, easy pitch bends to the luscious maple neck, this guitar delivers scrumptious playability. You don't want to be hindered when you're entering a world of extreme tonal madness, you want full freedom to be expressive. And thanks to the silky-smooth design of this guitar, anything is possible. The "C" shaped neck will sit snugly in your hand and allow you to fret seamlessly on the Indian laurel fretboard. Soar from fret to fret whilst each and every note flies from the strings like sparks. The lightweight construction then promises a sublime playing experience that is free of any shoulder pain.
J Mascis & the Jazzmaster
The Fender Jazzmaster was created in 1958 as a high-end jazz guitar. It grew into a cult favourite for rock and indie musicians, and J Mascis epitomises this trend. While the Jazzmaster never found mainstream popularity in jazz, its low second-hand prices made it a popular alternative to the ubiquitous Telecaster and Stratocaster. J Mascis adopted the Jazzmaster for this very reason - the Stratocaster was more than he could afford, at the time.
Mascis really made the guitar his own, and now you can get a Squier signature version of his iconic guitar featuring special upgrades to take the Jazzmaster to the next level. J Mascis uses the Jazzmaster in his band Dinosaur Jr for a wide range of alt-rock sounds and with the Squier signature model you'll find a versatile and smooth-playing instrument.
