Spaceman Effects Apollo VI Standard Overdrive Pedal

The Spaceman Apollo IV is a guitar effects pedal that offers a wide range of versatile overdrive and boost tones. This pedal features three distinct modes: Blue, Red, and Green, which offer different levels of gain and tonal characteristics. The Blue mode provides a smooth, clean boost with plenty of headroom, while the Red mode adds more gain and sustain for a classic rock tone. The Green mode provides a medium gain sound with a unique midrange character that's perfect for cutting through a mix.

In addition to the three modes, the Apollo IV includes a wide range of controls that allow players to fine-tune their tone. These controls include a volume knob, a gain knob, and a tone knob that allows players to adjust the treble content of their sound. There's also a three-position toggle switch that allows players to choose between different levels of bass response.

The Apollo IV features high-quality components and construction, including true bypass switching, a rugged metal enclosure, and top-mounted jacks that make it easy to integrate into a pedalboard. Whether you're looking for a clean boost, classic overdrive, or something in between, the Spaceman Apollo IV is a versatile and powerful guitar effects pedal that's sure to inspire your playing.

Electro Harmonix Mel 9 Tape Replay Machine

The Electro Harmonix Mel 9 Tape Replay Machine is a guitar effects pedal that allows players to replicate the sound of vintage Mellotron keyboards. The Mellotron was a keyboard instrument that used tape loops to produce its distinctive sound, and the Mel 9 pedal recreates this sound using advanced digital technology.

The Mel 9 pedal features nine different sound modes, each of which emulates a different Mellotron sound. These sounds include flute, violin, cello, brass, low choir, high choir, string section, trumpet, and saxophone. Players can use the pedal's mode selector knob to choose the desired sound.

In addition to the mode selector knob, the Mel 9 pedal also includes controls for volume, tone, and attack. These controls allow players to fine-tune the sound of the pedal to their liking. There's also a sustain footswitch that allows players to hold notes for as long as they like.

The Mel 9 pedal is built with high-quality components and features true bypass switching, which ensures that the pedal's circuitry doesn't affect the guitar signal when the pedal is turned off. The pedal also includes a standard 9V power supply input and a durable metal enclosure.

Boss DS2 Turbo Distortion Pedal

The Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion pedal is a stunning effects pedal that was first introduced by Boss Corporation in 1987 as an updated version of the earlier DS-1 distortion pedal. The DS-2 was designed to offer a more powerful and versatile distortion sound, with two distinct modes of operation.

The first mode, called "Turbo" mode, provides a more aggressive and cutting distortion sound than the DS-1, with increased sustain and a tighter, more focused tone. The second mode, called "Normal" mode, offers a more traditional distortion sound, similar to the DS-1 but with a slightly smoother and more refined character.

Over the years, the Boss DS-2 has become a popular choice for guitarists in a wide range of genres, from heavy metal and hard rock to punk, grunge, and alternative rock. Its compact size, sturdy construction, and affordable price point have also made it a popular choice for gigging musicians and home studio enthusiasts alike.

In 1995, Boss released a limited edition version of the DS-2 called the DS-2r, which featured a red finish and a modified circuit that provided even more gain and sustain than the original pedal. This version is highly sought-after by collectors and remains a favourite among many guitarists to this day.

In 2013, Boss released a new version of the DS-2 called the DS-2 Turbo Distortion+ with a slightly revised circuit and updated graphics. Today, the Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion remains a popular and highly regarded distortion pedal among guitarists worldwide.
