The Nuvo TooT in Black with Black Trim is the new fun and versatile way for young children to learn their first instrument. The Nuvo TooT features a wide bore which allows the instrument to be shorter and more comfortable to hold for young musicians compared to traditional flutes. The silicone key covers enable the tone holes to be fully closed, producing a clearer tone with better intonation. Unlike other flutes, the new Nuvo TooT is constructed from a mixture of plastic and silicone, which enables it to be regularly washed in warm soapy water. The TooT includes two lip plates, a fingering chart and case so you can start practising straight away.

Ideal for beginners

The new Nuvo TooT is ideally suited to young musicians looking to learn the flute. The TooT includes a FirstNote lip plate which is similar to a recorder mouthpiece and enables students to develop the correct posture and embouchure. Once the player is ready, the lip plate can be replaced with the included traditional lip plate. Unlike other flutes, the TooT has a wider bore which allows the instrument to be shorter and brings the tone holes closer to the body. This design enables young musicians to hold the flute in a comfortable position without their arms getting tired.

Similar to other Nuvo instruments, the new TooT features silicon key covers which allows a proper seal to be made around the tone hole. This seal not only helps to produce a stronger tone, but also promotes better tuning across the range of the flute. These pads help younger children grasp the basics of flute playing as their hand position can be a lot more relaxed compared to the position needed for a traditional open hole flute.
