Just kidding! There's only 6........ but, you know.....the divil....

All it requires is one teeny, tiny pact.......perhaps at a crossroads.....

As we all know well, the Irish are the inventors of Halloween so it seems only appropriate that we grab a guitar and yell incantations into the night, thus preventing the fairy folk from dragging us to the underworld and assuming our lives on earth for the purposes of glorious mischief.

Or, you know, do a little guitar for fun.

And as such we have a short list of tunes, riffs, airs, that you can bust out while trying to remain on this earthly plane.

Also, maybe some of these aren't that easy but I believe in you......

This is Halloween - Nightmare Before Christmas

Let's kick it off with a little Danny Elfman. Sure it's kinda from a Christmas movie but this is the Halloween part, and it's a fun thing that people will invariably be thinking "What is that? I know that tune...."

THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Theme Song)

Look. We kinda have to and it's another fun tune that almost everyone will recognise. I'll get a bit more freaky after this one, I promise. And it's a pretty handy lesson with some very clear tabs. What's not to love......

The Exorcist Theme

Originally this was a Mike Oldfield tune called Tubular Bells and it's got some funky time signature changes to keep you wildly entertained while your figuring out the picking pattern.  And it's kinda spooky, right?

Spooky, Scary Skeletons - Andrew Gold

I accept that this one isn't that spooky but this is a lovely fingerstyle version and you will learn some additional skills. A great tab and definitely worth a little practice.

Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters Theme

Okay. So we're turning into a film theme jobby basically but that's fine. This little beauty will be recognised by pretty much all of the generations due to it's general excellence. Also it was written by a session legend so it might be a little more challenging but it's totally worth it to wow everyone from Granny to that delightful girl, boy or otherwise on whom you may have a crush.

Marilyn Manson (Eurythmics) - Sweet Dreams

You know it. It's cool. Obviously that original had absolutely nothing to do with Halloween but it seem merely being in a room with Mr. Manson is enough to gift it spooky status. It's a great tune though, and I'm confident that a whole host of people could sing along.

Get in! So, there she is. Grab a guitar and get involved.
