A Sonic Seance to Excite the Ears

In the beginning there was Boss, but others would follow......

A new day has dawned, and it seems awful quiet.......

I think we need some sounds. Sounds of intrigue. Sounds of delight.

I know a man, a man who knows how to make the best sounds.

Show us something great my friend.

The Pedals

MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe

Introductions not even required here, and we may be the first to call it a classic, but it is. Ladies and Gentlemen, it's the MXR M288 BASS OCTAVE DELUXE!

The Bass Octave Deluxe is a dual-voice octave pedal that offers analog tone, true bypass, and a variety of tonal options. MXR's 18 volt Constant Headroom Technology™ provides high headroom and superior tracking. Use the Dry knob to mix in your direct signal, and hit the Mid+ switch to add up to +14dB of internally adjustable mid frequencies (400Hz or 850Hz). Finally, mix in two separately controlled octave voices—Growl (for throaty tone) and Girth (for deep tone). It's often attempted with other brands, but nothing sounds quite the the MXR version.

We ran through all that it does, so sit back and enjoy!

Electro Harmonix Micro Q-Tron Envelope Filter

Whether you just prefer the automatic nature of auto-wah's, or you're too busy dancing with your instrument, the Electro-Harmonix Micro Q-Tron is hella fun, sounds amazing and is super easy to use. Cutting through walls of band noise with it's distinctive envelope filtering and giving you as much options as the original Q-Trons, but with far less intimidating controls and behaviours... Here's what EHX had to say:

The EHX Micro Q-Tron is a smooth envelope filter with a funky wah-wah tone. The filter is controlled by its internal envelope follower, analyzing the volume of your notes and the dynamics of your playing to directly sweep the filter’s center or cutoff frequency. A stronger attack or louder note will produce a wider frequency sweep while softer playing produces more subtle effects. Use the Q control to make the effect more dramatic.

We guide you through the controls and show you how it sounds without any faffing about, so sit back and enjoy the EHX Micro Q-Tron! Feel free to like and subscribe, and if you WANNIT, just shop in the link here. Love you

Electro Harmonix POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator

It's hardly surprising that Electro Harmonix produced one of the best Polyphonic Octave Guitar pedals on the market, but did you know just how symphonic your guitar could sound? Simply by adding one or two octaves (above or below), with a sweet dreamy "Attack" Control and even more creative control within the onboard Low Pass Filters, the POG 2 is so much more than getting a jangly 12 string sound out of your 6 string electric.

With impeccable tracking, if that's all your looking for. But try pulling out the dry signal, roll of the tone from your guitar, and give it just the right amount of Q Filtering, and before you know it you'll be asking yourself, "what does my guitar want to do with it's life?"

We go through all the sounds and controls it has to offer, so sit back and relax. Interrupt yerselves only to like and subscribe! Or shop here if you've fallen in love. Enjoy!

More effects pedals actually decrease collective unhappiness.
