It's that Sweet, Sweet Time Again!

Will we ever look quite this cool.....?

Ho ho ho I says! November is coming to a close and the true festive season is just over the horizon.

It's always a good time to learn some new music but why not use this opportunity to have a bit of a giggle and learn a few fun, festive tunes and get the whole family singing along this Christmas. It probably won't bee too difficult, they've probably had a snifter or two of sherry.

So! Let's check out a few absolute classics and strum our way to festive glory!

Jingle Bells of course!

Where else to begin. So, for this one I'm actually going to include two lessons. The first one is a super simple picking pattern and the second one is a slightly more rounded, chord based version. Both great, both fun, get involved.

For the pluckers

And for the strummers

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Here's a pretty sweet version by Andy, keeping it simple with a very handy strumming pattern. Sing it again everyone!!

Last Christmas by WHAM!

No Christmas playlist would be complete with out this absolute 80s classic by WHAM. The original video feature an incredible amount of hair but this is a quality tutorial by our old friend JustGuitar.

Deck the Halls

An absolute stormer of a sing-a-long number, this one will have everyone within earshot FA LA LA LA LAing away to their hearts content. The chap here at Good Guitarist is a lovely soft spoken fellow with an excellent lesson.

My personal Christmas favourite......Feliz Navidad!

Simple, understated but an absolute classic. There's a reason there is a 10 hour version of this on YouTube. Here is another lovely lesson from the same chap as above and this one is bound to get everyone shouting along at the top of their lungs. Best played later in the evening....

Time to get practicing as Christmas will undoubtedly be here faster than we can imagine!
