It's nearly Christmas and while people aren't expecting gifts, the giving of them is always nice.
But gifts for the musically inclined can always seem like a daunting prospect, especially as they're always buying themselves new toys while saying things like "Do you think she'll notice if I show up with another guitar.....?"
Have no fear! Here is a little list a few fun toys and accessories that won't break the bank but will bring some smiles.
These are just great, for any musician of any level. Always weirdly useful and even the cheap ones sound good. If the recipient of an egg shaker doesn't immediately smile and begin grooving, I am pretty confident they are a serial killer.
Musical Mugs! And I don't mean that as a slur.....
Mugs eh. It may seem like a bit of a throwaway gift but it really isn't. People drink tea all the time, and you always look at certain mugs and recall when they came into your life with misty-eyed fondness. Especially when they've got Freddie doing some saucy moves on the front.

Do you know a busy singer? Perhaps one of your buddies is the front man or woman of a wedding band? Maybe, it being the party season you know someone who is inundated with corporate Christmas parties. Well, why not soothe their abused throats with a pack of these specially formulated and lightly delicious lozenges. It's the gift of motherly concern.
Gaffa Tape - The Musical Injoke
Seriously, hear me out. If you know a musician who has spent anytime gigging, they will be privy to the near mystical status held by a humble roll of gaff tape. It is THE problem solver. Maybe not a tree present but for a Secret Santa or a good friend I can guarantee you'll get a wry smile as they see the hilarious (yet wildly useful) gift you have chosen.
