That Most Revered of Events is Upon Us!

Rumour has it that this fabled event has its roots in Pre-Christian Ireland. According to legend, a Grove of Druids is said to have begun making and selling extremely affordable hand carved flutes to the local people in Dublin's Liffey basin, in the interest of appeasing The Dagda and his flying harp, Uaithne.

Since that time the festival has undergone many iterations, with a few interjections of the Catholic Church, all of which has finally led us here. To the magic of the day itself.

The Musicmaker Sale is Here.

As is true of any great Feast Day, the proper observances are in order, so here's a brief rundown of what to expect:

  • Saturday 23rd of March is the chosen day on which we celebrate.

  • Doors will open at 10am. Understandably everyone will be wildly excited so it's best to get there early. Queues have been known to form in the wee hours, so mittens and a flask of coffee are sometimes advisable. 8am onward is usually when things begin to get really exciting.
  • To the wildly dedicated who do arrive very early, we will treat you to breakfast sambos in the queue.

  • Sale items will be available online from 1pm.
  • Are you desperately curious to know what will be on sale? Email us at thesale@musicmaker.ie and you can apply for the much coveted, Sale List. This will be released at 8pm on Friday 22nd of March.
  • Musicmaker vouchers are very much applicable on the day.
  • As this is a day of Spring, Rebirth and Glorious New Toys, unfortunately we won't be able to accept trade-in items on Sale Day.
  • In the interest of Equality and Shared Glory however, it will be possible to use the HUMM payment system online to spread out payments on Sale items.

Some come one and come all!

This Saturday the 23rd of March our doors will open at 10am and there will definitely, be something for everyone.

Get yourself a copy of the Sale List, make a couple of sandwiches for the morning (unless you're there first!) and be ready.

It's gonna be incredible.

See you there.

Here's a wee tune to get you in the mood....
