The Alvarez MG60ce Masterworks Grand Auditorium is a guitar that lets tone do the talking. Elegant, clean and free from unnecessary decoration, it places the spotlight firmly on its AAA solid Sitka spruce top, shimmering beneath a flawless Shadowburst gloss finish.

Built with a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, the MG60ce delivers everything players love about an all-solid Grand Auditorium. The spruce brings clarity, projection and dynamic range, while mahogany adds warm, woody mids and controlled, defined bass. The Grand Auditorium body shape enhances balance across the spectrum, giving you sparkling trebles, clear low-end response and an open, articulate midrange.

It’s a wonderfully versatile voice — equally at home with fingerstyle, strumming or melodic lead work. The Grand Auditorium shape also offers superb comfort, sitting neatly against the body without sacrificing projection.

Internally, the MG60ce features Alvarez’s FS6 forward-shifted, scalloped X bracing, allowing for a slightly larger vibrating area around the bridge. This increases responsiveness and headroom, giving the guitar instant attack and impressive dynamic sensitivity.

Like all Masterworks models, it benefits from ATR™ (Advanced Tonal Response) treatment. Through oxygen-controlled curing and thermo-kiln drying, the tonewoods behave like a more mature instrument from day one — offering enhanced stability, quicker response and improved clarity and note separation.

The cutaway design provides easy upper-fret access, while the African mahogany neck (14th fret joint, 21 frets) feels smooth and comfortable for extended playing sessions.

For live performance and recording, the LR Baggs HiFi system delivers exceptional balance and definition. Its dual bridge plate sensors and high-fidelity electronics provide a natural amplified sound with strong feedback resistance — truly plug-and-play ready.

The MG60ce ships with Alvarez’s durable AFC30 Flexicase, offering lightweight protection without the bulk of a traditional hard case.
