Epiphone Les Paul Standard '50s (Left-handed) - Heritage Cherry Sunburst
Bringing back the true essence of vintage guitars. The Les Paul Standard ‘50s boasts retro flair in the bucketloads. Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson collection takes iconic features and advanced construction techniques and applies them to genuinely accessible instruments.
Construction
Incredibly accurate to 1950’s design, the Standard ‘50s is made using a trusty mahogany body and neck combination with a maple cap displaying the wood grain. Any guitarist’s dream.
The neck is shaped into a ’59 rounded medium ‘C’ – styled after the legendary Les Paul and famed for its playing comfort. Paired with the 12” fingerboard radius and medium jumbo frets, the Standard ‘50s provides the classic feel of the original guitar. Hardware specs include a LockTone ABR bridge and 18:1 ratio tuners for admirable stability.
Sound
Not only does the Standard ‘50s come equipped with the excellent PAF-inspired ProBucker-2 and 3 duo, but it uses ‘50s style wiring techniques to get the full flavour of the low output pickups. Smooth, hum-free tone with an instantly recognisable warm low end and sweet sustain. The bridge ProBucker-3 is slightly overwound for extra attack and sounds great through crunchy levels of gain, while its neck counterpart takes a softer touch.
