The Boss GX-1B delivers premium-grade sound and features in a remarkably compact unit built for practice, recording and live performance. With 16 amplifier types and over 130 bass-optimised effects, the GX-1B provides a huge tonal palette. From clean studio clarity and vintage warmth to modern punch and experimental textures, it’s equipped to handle virtually any musical style. Despite its small footprint, audio quality is uncompromising, featuring 24-bit AD and 32-bit DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point processing and a 48 kHz sampling rate.

Up to eight simultaneous effect blocks can be used at once, alongside volume pedal and noise suppression, allowing players to build detailed signal chains without a large pedalboard. Effects are arranged into intuitive, colour-coded categories for quick access, and the Gear Suite feature lets you configure amps and effects instantly with a simple knob adjustment. Support for loading WAV speaker IRs adds further tonal flexibility for stage or studio environments.

A high-resolution colour display provides clear visual feedback, while three freely assignable footswitches and a built-in expression pedal with toe switch offer hands-on control during performance. The GX-1B includes 99 ready-to-play presets and 99 user memories for storing custom sounds.

Built-in Bluetooth® audio lets you stream backing tracks wirelessly, and Bluetooth MIDI enables cable-free editing via the BOSS Tone Studio app (macOS, Windows, iOS and Android). A USB-C connection allows direct recording and playback with music production software on computers or mobile devices, making it an ideal compact recording interface.

Additional control options include support for external footswitches or expression pedals, compatibility with the FS-1-WL Wireless Footswitch and EV-1-WL Wireless Expression Pedal, and multiple power options — including four AA batteries, AC adaptor or USB bus power.
