Rapier Saffire Bass Guitar - Fiesta Red
Introducing the Rapier Saffire Bass Guitar – Fiesta Red: a bold revival of a 1960s British icon, reimagined by legendary guitar designer Alan Entwistle and the JHS team.
This four-string medium-scale bass blends vintage vibe with modern comfort. The warm-toned basswood body, shaped in a striking double-cutaway style, is paired with a comfortable bolt-on hard rock maple neck. A generous 31" scale and double-octave fingerboard—including a zero fret—invite expressive playing and full-range tonal exploration.
Tone-wise, this bass delivers authenticity and grit. A pair of low-noise EWR64B mini double-coil pickups provide clarity and vintage punch, while dedicated volume and tone controls and a handy mid-boost switch offer instant sonic flexibility. A rocker-style 3-way selector gives access to neck, bridge, or blended pickup voices.
In performance, the bass shines with details that matter: a GraphTech Nubone nut for smooth tuning, chrome machine heads for precise stability, and a compensated four-saddle bridge for accurate intonation. Visually, the Fiesta Red finish glows brilliantly, complemented by a classic two-piece tortoiseshell-style scratchplate and the distinctive Saffire logo on the pickguard.
At Musicmaker, we celebrate gear that carries both heritage and personality—and this Rapier Saffire does that in spades. It’s a bass that balances playful British flamboyance with practical performance across studio or stage.
