The Roland Aira Compact J-6 Chord Synth is a powerful, yet compact chord sequencer/creation station designed for generating song ideas and experimenting with sound. Combining modern innovation with the classic sound of the Juno-60 synth, Roland has created the ultimate song creation machine; complete with iconic Roland sounds and hands-on controls. Equipped with 100 chord sets spanning classic to contemporary genres; the J-6 allows you to translate your musical ideas into sound; with ease!

Whilst being a whole new beast entirely; the J-6 draws inspiration from the iconic Juno-60 synthesizer, incorporating the classic four-voice Juno synth engine. The engine has been meticulously recreated from the ground up using Roland's cutting-edge ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology which replicates the sound and analog imperfections of the original synth. The programmable chord sequencer features 64 user patterns with 64 steps each. There are also 64 ready-to-use synth presets, incorporated from the original Juno-60.

With the J-6, you can easily create sequences and ideas thanks to the intuitive design and tactile controls on offer. Inject some colour into your sounds using the onboard reverb and delay effects or use the envelope and filter to sculpt your sound further and in real-time. You can even incorporate arpeggios and rhythmic phrases with nine different styles to choose from.

Iconic Roland sounds via ACB technology

As well as the newly introduced engine, the J-6 also features the legendary Juno-60 synth engine. Get all the iconic sounds from the iconic Juno-60 units via cutting-edge Analog Circuit Behaviour technology (ACB). ACB technology was developed specifically to enable the user to authentically recreate the sound and behaviour of classic analog synthesizers and drum machines. The ACB engine provides expressive and diverse sound with incredibly realistic characteristics, capturing every nuance of the Juno-60 synth engine.

Not only that but the housing of the beat machine is constructed using robust materials to ensure a durable enclosure. Roland has also used high-quality components throughout the manufacturing process including premium-quality rubber pads for the various controls, ensuring a long lifespan.

The rear panel of the Aira Compact J-6 features a wide variety of connection options including audio, MIDI and sync I/O, as well as an AIRA Link port for connecting multiple Aira Compact units together.
