Cables are rarely the exciting bit of an audio setup, but they're frequently the bit that decides whether the exciting stuff actually reaches the speakers. The Stagg NAC3PXMR N Series Audio Cable is a practical 3-metre mono cable for connecting equipment with a standard ¼" jack output to gear requiring a male XLR connection.

At one end you've got a male mono ¼" jack, and at the other a male XLR connector. That makes the NAC3PXMR useful for compatible mixers, audio interfaces, DI equipment, keyboards, amplifiers, processors and other bits of stage or studio hardware where jack-to-XLR connectivity is required. As always with audio cables, check the input and output types on your particular equipment first – the fact that two sockets physically connect doesn't automatically mean they're electrically intended for one another.

The cable is part of Stagg's N Series and uses REAN connectors, giving you dependable connection hardware from a well-established Neutrik-associated connector brand. The cable itself has a 6mm outer diameter, striking a sensible balance between flexibility and the sort of construction you'd want for everyday rehearsal, studio and live use.

At 3 metres / approximately 10 feet, there's enough length for typical stage and studio connections without leaving you with twenty metres of cable coiled underneath the desk like an audio snake having a nap.

Finished in practical Black, it's also RoHS compliant and – crucially – very easy to identify once you know what you're looking for: mono jack male at one end, XLR male at the other. No adapters balanced precariously out of sockets. No frantic rummaging through the cable drawer. Just the right cable for the right compatible connection.
