Why Do I Always Delay?

Because it sounds incredible.

Okay, enough of that.

Our almost Godlike pedal panderer has some new offerings for us. A sonic sacrament if you will.

There's a veritable feast of delay, and from the abyss, the Heft awaits.

Lead on Padre, lead on......

The Pedals

Boss DD-8 Advanced Digital Delay:

Incorporating 10 various delays plus a 40 second looper within one knob - no one nails delay quite like Boss does, from tone, to features, to infinite sonic navigation.

Over 40 years in the game since the release of the DM-1 Delay Pedal in 1978, Boss have never shied away from wondering what players want from a delay pedal. Their most recent classic single pedal deal is the DD-8, including stereo ins & outs, onboard tap tempo, carryover mode and a whole range of top tier features, it's no wonder reviewers have begun calling it "Boss's most powerful Delay Pedal yet"

We go through a whole range of features and delay modes to show you exactly what it has to offer. Enjoy!

JHS Pedals 3 Series Delay:

Back again with another JHS 3 Series Pedal, this time it's the Delay Pedal under the microscope..!

Josh Scott designed the 3 Series Range to bring you really robust, seriously good sounding pedals that are all simple to use, all with the same 3 Control Dial layout and an extra switch to give the pedal more versatility, depending on the effect. The results? Super sweet affordable effect pedals, made from quality ingredients that will suit everyone, from the most basic players to absolute rock stars.

The 3 Series Delay pedal has all the delay and tone you'll need, plus a sweet "type" switch allows you to get more murky, analog-behaving delays, all within a simplistic design. Enjoy!

Boss MT2 Metal Zone Pedal:

We know, we know, "favourite all time pedals" sounds like big words, but hear us out. I first purchased a Boss MT-2 back in 1998 when i was in my teens, and instantly found similar tones to a lot of my favourite bands, through my low budget transistor amp. It was just good craic, and that scooped over-the-top sound is a teenage metal fan's dream!

Fast forward 10 years later, and with more high end valve amps now in my possession, I plugged in the MT-2 for old times sake. It sounded even better. The valve response really brought out more nuanced mid ranges and the scooped freq's didn't sound so processed.

And today, over 25 years since my original purchase of the Boss Metal Zone, i can still get that HUGE Marshall Stack tone of my youth, through my much smaller Blackstar HT Combo, and it still sounds damn fine and provides all the heft i'll ever need to have the absolute craic. Say what you will about the Metal Zone, but if you know, you know. 25 years of solid riffage. Enjoy! - We still are!

There it is, another glorious instalment of luscious layers of sonic sauce.

Why not drop in to Musicmaker to check these ( and many, many other) pedals out for yourself.
