The Gibraltar SC-4980J Hi-Hat Cymbal Seat is a straightforward replacement designed to get things sitting properly again.

Built from a tough composite material, the SC-4980J supports the bottom hi-hat cymbal and includes the essential felt and steel washer. More importantly, it features a locking tilt-adjust bolt, allowing you to angle the lower cymbal rather than having the two hats sitting perfectly parallel. That slight angle helps the cymbals meet more naturally and lets you fine-tune the response to suit your playing style.

Compatibility is pleasingly broad. The SC-4980J fits Gibraltar hi-hat stands and many other professional stands, accommodating common 3/4" and 1" tube diameters. That makes it a very handy repair part when an otherwise perfectly serviceable hi-hat stand has been rendered useless by one tired little component.

The cymbal support itself is approximately 50mm in diameter, while the central opening accommodates the hi-hat pull rod running through the assembly.
