Some percussion instruments are about warmth, subtlety and gently filling out the musical landscape. The LP1231 Jam Bell is more interested in going PING! at exactly the right moment and making absolutely certain everybody heard it.

Finished in unmistakable bright blue, this compact 3½" mountable Jam Bell produces a high-pitched, cutting tone with deliberately short sustain. That dry, immediate response makes it brilliant for sharp accents, clave-style patterns and rhythmic punctuation, particularly when you need a sound that'll poke cleanly through drums, guitars and the general commotion of a full band.

Its compact dimensions are a big part of the character. Rather than the deeper clang and longer resonance you'd associate with a larger cowbell, the LP1231 gives you a tight, bright and focused attack that gets in, makes its point and gets out again. Think punctuation mark rather than paragraph.

Mounting it into an existing drum or percussion rig is straightforward thanks to LP's eye-bolt mounting system, designed to fit a standard 3/8" diameter rod.
