The LP1233 Jam Bell in Red is built for exactly that job, delivering a short, dry and distinctive bell sound that can slot neatly into a drum or percussion setup without taking over the entire postcode.

The LP1233 is the larger, lower-pitched partner to the blue LP1231 Jam Bell. Measuring 4 inches, it produces a deeper note than its smaller sibling while retaining the bright attack and deliberately short sustain that gives the Jam Bell family its character. Hit it and the note arrives immediately, cuts through the mix and gets out of the way again.

That makes it particularly useful for accent notes, clave-inspired patterns and tight rhythmic figures where a long-ringing cowbell could leave considerably more sonic debris behind. There's a wonderfully dry quality to these bells that sits somewhere in its own little percussion territory – familiar enough to find a place in a groove, unusual enough to make people wonder what you've just hit.

The steel construction is made for actual percussion work, and LP's forged eye-bolt mounting assembly provides a secure grip on a standard 3/8" diameter rod.
