Lag Guitars Sauvage Auditorium Acoustic
Sustainable innovation with bold character and refined balance
With the Sauvage series, Lâg introduces the concept of “Green Guitars” — instruments designed with environmental responsibility at their core, without compromising tone, aesthetics or playability. The Sauvage Auditorium Acoustic is a forward-thinking model that blends innovation, sustainability and striking design into one beautifully balanced guitar.
At the heart of the Sauvage series is BrankoWood, a material developed by scientist Branko Hermescee as a sustainable alternative to exotic hardwoods. Through a carefully controlled tropicalisation process that regulates density, this model features a solid Pale BrankoWood top with a density comparable to spruce. The result is lively projection, clarity and dynamic response, paired with a distinctive, natural visual character.
The headstock veneer, fingerboard and bridge are crafted from Black BrankoWood, offering the look and density of ebony while remaining environmentally responsible. It delivers smooth playability, tonal clarity and durability — all without relying on endangered hardwoods.
The back and sides are made from smoked eucalyptus, finished with a bold rough sawn texture. This raw aesthetic isn’t just about looks — it significantly reduces varnish application and sanding stages during production, helping to limit solvent emissions and energy consumption. The result is a guitar that feels organic, modern and purpose-driven.
In its auditorium body format, the Sauvage offers superb tonal balance. Expect articulate mids, controlled bass response and clear trebles, making it ideal for fingerstyle, light strumming and contemporary acoustic playing. The curved back design enhances both resonance and ergonomics, improving comfort while contributing to a more focused projection.
A satin finish complements the textured eucalyptus, preserving the instrument’s natural feel and allowing the wood to resonate freely. The Khaya neck provides warmth and stability, while a 43 mm compensated black graphite nut and double-action truss rod ensure reliable setup and playability.
With its thoughtful construction and distinctive aesthetic, this is exactly the kind of modern, conscious instrument that sparks conversation when players pick it up in Musicmaker — innovative, responsible and musically rewarding.
Supplied with a quilted gig bag, the Sauvage Auditorium is ready for rehearsals, recording sessions or the stage.
