The Blackstar Dept. 10 series is a limited edition series of true tube-driven Dual Drive, Dual Distortion and Boost pedal effects designed by Blackstar's in-house team of skilled engineers known as Dept. 10.

At the heart of the new pedals is the ECC83 tube (triode), which, along with an internal voltage of over 200V, offers an organic sound, natural dynamics and musical distortion that the tube emulation/simulation circuits of conventional pedal effects can't offer.

The Dept. 10 Boost offers a seriously hot tube kick for any guitar amp. It combines a class-A gain stage and a natural-sounding passive James Baxandall EQ. The built-in buffer/line driver is ideal when routing your signal through long cables and complex pedalboards. The included 9V adapter is used to power the effect.
