The Blackstar Amped 3 100W 3 channel Amp Pedal is a full-blown, hard-hitting, high-gain amp in pedal form. With three distinct and detailed channels - all accessible via footswitches - your live and recording capabilities are about to be revolutionised. Whether you want clean, crunch, or overdrive settings, you can switch between them at will. And with a host of connectivity options, this nifty device will slot into any setup. Use it at the front end of your current amp, plug it into a cab and use it as a head, or use it as an amp and a cab in one by going direct in with the DI. If you're going for the latter, state-of-the-art cab simulation helps to deliver that inimitable cab tone.

A fearsome sound. You won't be short of thunderous metal tones with this pedal. Aside from the responsive Gain dial, there's also a switch for changing between Crunch and Super Crunch on the Crunch channel, and OD 1/OD 2 on Overdrive. This means you have access to a wide range of distorted sounds, from light and dry to thick, heavy, and saturated. There's also built-in reverb and boost, so you can thicken your sound and help it punch through for blazing solos. And with Blackstar's patented ISF control, you can instantly change between American and British amp voicings.

True valve tone

Want all the warmth, crunch, and inimitable thickness of a valve amp, but none of the weight? The Amped 3 is here to answer your call. Power tubes are known for having a huge impact on a valve amplifier's tone, but you can only ever have one set in a normal amp. This pedal has three! A handy switch lets you change between EL34, EL84, and 6L6 tubes, whilst the internal circuitry has been built to mimic a valve amp's interaction with a cab. This means that you get the best of all worlds in one neat package.

With 100W of power, you'll be able to take the roof off any venue - but sometimes that's too much. You can reduce the power all the way down to 20W or even 1W for bedroom practice that still has that cranked valve amp tone. As if that weren't enough, there also three different voicings to choose from through Blackstar's patented ISF control, consisting of USA, UK, and Classic.

Three waves of gain

From virtually none to a loaded gun. This amp pedal packs plenty of power when it comes to gain. The Clean channel, though, has a beautifully crisp response, which can easily be moulded with the three-band EQ and control dials. It also has a Warm/Bright switch, so you can shoot for more warmth or more punch in an instant. When you switch to Crunch, you'll get that classic dry, lightly distorted tone which is great for hard rock and blues. If you want to drive it harder, though, then you can switch from normal Crunch to Super Crunch, which will powerfully ramp up the punch.

Finally, you've got the crushing Overdrive channel, which, you guessed it, is perfect for metal. Two switchable settings - OD1 and OD2 - give you loads of metal tones to play with. OD1 is tight and focused, for chunky, crisp rhythm and searing leads. OD 2 is even heavier, for an ultra-modern metal voicing that is perfect for drop-tuned riffing. All these channels are accessible via dedicated footswitches for each one, so you'll be able to access each one in an instant live. There's also a handy Boost footswitch and dial for kicking it up a notch when playing that defining solos or lick.

Unlimited connectivity

Made for every setup. The Amped 3 100W boasts a wealth of connectivity options which allow it to slot into any rig. You can use the low latency USB audio as an interface for recording, whilst the D.I. lets you connect directly to a PA/mixing desk for live performances. Or you can go directly into a cab with the 8 ohm and 16 ohm speaker outputs, although this pedal also boasts spectacular speaker simulation too! Not to mention MIDI. And you can customise more settings, like reverb trails, through Blackstar's Architect deep editing software. Theirs is literally nothing you can't do with this beauty.
