Rapier Mercury Electric Guitar - Greenburst
The Rapier Mercury is a bold revival of a British classic, meticulously redesigned by Alan Entwistle to bring vintage cool into the modern age. Finished in a rich greenburst stain, this guitar is all about warmth—both in tone and appearance. Its lightweight okoume body makes it comfortable to hold for long sessions while keeping resonance open and alive, paired with a hard rock maple neck that adds stability and snap.
The rosewood fingerboard offers smooth playability across its double-octave range, with a zero fret ensuring consistent tone and intonation from open strings right through the highest registers. The Mercury’s double-cutaway body provides effortless access to the upper frets, making it as practical as it is stylish.
Sonically, the Mercury is loaded with three Alan Entwistle low-noise mini humbuckers, designed to capture the sparkle and clarity of the original 1960s design while giving modern players a fuller, noise-free signal. The intuitive control layout includes rocker switches for each pickup, a master volume and tone, plus a mid-boost switch to add punch and body when you need to cut through.
Hardware appointments round out the package: a Rapier Hi Lo vibrato system for expressive bends, a compensated roller bridge for rock-solid intonation, and a GraphTech Nubone nut for reliable tuning stability. Chrome hardware and the Mercury’s classic retro pickguard complete the look with vintage-inspired flair.
At Musicmaker, we have a soft spot for instruments that carry their history proudly while delivering the reliability players expect today. The Rapier Mercury in Greenburst is exactly that—rich, resonant, and full of personality.
