The Quiklok GS/508 Universal Guitar Stand gives your instrument a properly secure home, combining a sturdy floor-standing design with a clever automatic self-locking yoke that does the securing for you.

Place your guitar into the neck yoke and the weight of the instrument automatically engages the two lateral safety barriers, closing them around the neck to help prevent the guitar from being accidentally knocked out of the stand. Lift the guitar again and the barriers release automatically. There are no straps or clips to remember — gravity does the work every time you put the instrument away.

Better still, the GS/508 is genuinely universal. Quiklok designed it to accommodate acoustic guitars, electric guitars and basses, with an adjustable neck holder allowing the stand to adapt to instruments of different sizes. The neck yoke features smooth rubberised protective padding, while cushioned lower supports provide a secure resting point for the body without leaving hard metal surfaces against your instrument.

Despite all that security, this isn't an enormous permanent piece of furniture. The GS/508's neck section collapses down for transport and storage, reducing the stand to approximately 67 x 9.5 x 11cm when folded. Set up, its height adjusts from 69 to 103cm, with a 63cm-wide and 46cm-deep base providing a reassuring footprint beneath the instrument. Maximum load capacity is a substantial 16kg, while the stand itself weighs only around 1.54kg.
