The Vic Firth PureGrit 7A Drumsticks are designed to tackle this problem, without affecting your groove. That means you retain the 5A feel of the stick, something you lose when wearing gloves. The PureGrit 7A is lacquer-free but undergoes an abrasive process to open up the grain and make it more abrasive. It's not the tackiest solution, but it's comfortable and has minimal effect on your playing, while providing grip for your sweaty hands! No more sticks flying away mid-set. For many drummers, that's the sweet spot.
