The Alvarez AD60 Artist Series Dreadnought is crafted to achieve outstanding levels of fit, finish and tonal ability. At its core is an A+ Solid North American Sitka spruce top, carefully selected and independently graded by Alvarez’s team. Sitka is chosen here for its dynamic range and openness, delivering clear articulation and a wide tonal spectrum. The back and sides are constructed from all-mahogany laminates, providing warmth and structural balance while allowing the solid top to drive the voice of the guitar.

A key part of the AD60’s tonal character is Alvarez’s FS6 forward-shifted, scalloped bracing system. By shifting the bracing pattern forward and scalloping it carefully, more of the soundboard is allowed to vibrate freely. This produces stronger low-end presence, enhanced resonance and a broad, open projection that fills a room naturally.

The finish is as thoughtfully applied as the bracing. The top features a flawless, thin gloss finish with a lustrous shine, while the back and sides carry a complementary semi-gloss sheen.
