D'Addario EJ17 Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings (.013-.056)
D'Addario EJ17 Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings (.013-.056)
The D’Addario EJ17 Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings are the choice for acoustic players who want maximum volume, rich projection, and a powerful, authoritative tone. A long-standing favourite among flatpickers, bluegrass players, singer-songwriters, and rhythm guitarists, these strings deliver the kind of full-bodied acoustic sound that fills a room with ease.
Featuring a Medium gauge configuration of .013–.056, the EJ17 set offers increased tension and greater driving power compared to lighter gauges. The result is a bigger low end, enhanced projection, and exceptional dynamic range, making them particularly popular with players who really dig into their instrument and want every note to be heard.
Constructed with D’Addario’s precision-wound phosphor bronze wrap wire over a high-carbon steel core, these strings produce a warm, balanced voice with excellent clarity and sparkling highs. The phosphor bronze alloy also helps maintain tonal consistency and prolongs the life of the strings, ensuring they continue to sound vibrant through rehearsals, gigs, recording sessions, and countless hours of playing.
Medium gauge strings are particularly well suited to dreadnoughts and larger-bodied acoustic guitars, where their additional tension helps drive the top more effectively, producing greater volume and a rich, resonant character. Whether you're strumming hard, flatpicking intricate runs, or accompanying a full band, the EJ17 delivers the headroom and presence to handle it all.
