D'Addario EJ63i Irish Tenor Banjo Strings
The D’Addario EJ63i Irish Tenor Banjo Strings are purpose-built for players who want that unmistakable bright, punchy Irish tenor banjo sound with the feel and response needed for fast, articulate traditional playing. Designed specifically for Irish tuning styles, these strings offer the balance, tension, and projection that tenor banjo players rely on for reels, jigs, and lively session work.
Optimised for GDAE tuning, the EJ63i set provides a comfortable yet responsive playing feel that suits both melodic picking and energetic accompaniment. The carefully selected gauges help maintain strong note definition and tuning stability, particularly important when playing rapid ornamentation and intricate traditional passages.
Tonally, these strings deliver a crisp, focused attack with plenty of clarity and projection, helping your banjo cut through naturally in busy session environments without sounding harsh. Whether you’re playing solo arrangements, backing tunes in a trad session, or performing on stage, the EJ63i set offers a lively, balanced voice that feels right at home in Irish traditional music.
D’Addario’s precision manufacturing ensures reliable intonation and long-lasting consistency, making these strings a dependable choice for regular players and gigging musicians alike.
