Donner Giant Metal Distortion Pedal

Donner Giant Metal Distortion Pedal

The Donner Giant Metal Distortion Pedal is built for guitarists who aren't interested in subtlety. Designed to deliver crushing high-gain tones with tight low end, aggressive attack, and soaring sustain, it's a pedal that feels equally at home powering modern metal riffs, classic thrash, hard rock, and anything else that demands serious distortion. At its core, the Giant Metal produces a thick, saturated distortion packed with harmonics and articulation. Heavy palm-muted riffs hit with authority, fast alternate-picked passages remain clear, and soaring lead lines sustain effortlessly without becoming muddy. Whether you're tuned to standard or venturing into lower tunings, the pedal retains the definition needed to keep every note cutting through the mix.

One of the standout features is the dedicated Hi Boost function. Engaging this mode enhances the high-frequency response, adding extra bite, presence, and clarity to your tone. It's particularly effective for intricate lead work, technical rhythm playing, and modern metal styles where note separation is just as important as raw power. The result is a distortion that stays articulate, even under extreme gain settings. Designed with simplicity in mind, the Giant Metal allows players to dial in aggressive tones quickly without wrestling with overly complex controls. Whether you're after tight rhythm crunch, singing solos, or full-throttle high-gain saturation, it's ready to deliver with minimal fuss.

Built inside a rugged aluminium-alloy enclosure, the Giant Metal is made to withstand the demands of rehearsals, gigs, and life on a busy pedalboard. Bright LED indicators make it easy to check the pedal's status on dark stages, while true bypass switching preserves your guitar's natural signal whenever the pedal is disengaged, ensuring clean, transparent performance without pops, buzz, or unwanted signal loss.

At Musicmaker, we know there's a time for tasteful overdrive... and then there's a time to shake the walls. The Giant Metal is firmly in the second category.
