Evans Genera Coated Drum Head - 13"
Evans Genera Coated Drum Head - 13"
The Evans Genera Coated Drum Head – 13" is a brilliant all-rounder for drummers who want a balanced, controlled snare or tom sound with just the right amount of warmth and focus.
Built from a single ply of 10mil film, the Genera keeps things open and responsive, allowing your drum to breathe naturally while still delivering a solid, defined attack. It’s sensitive enough for ghost notes and lighter playing, but holds up well when you dig in. What really sets it apart is the addition of a 2mil overtone control ring on the underside. This subtle feature helps to reduce unwanted overtones and tighten up the sound, giving you a more focused, studio-ready tone without needing gels or external dampening.
The coated finish adds a touch of warmth and softness to the attack, making it ideal for players who want a rounded, classic sound with good stick feel — especially on snare. At 13", it’s a great choice for snare drums or smaller toms, offering a nice balance between clarity, control, and musicality.
This is one of those heads that just sits perfectly in the mix — clean, controlled, and easy to work with.
