Evans Black Chrome Tom Head - 12"
Evans 12" Black Chrome Tom Head
The Evans 12" Black Chrome Tom Head (TT12CHR) is built for drummers who want their toms to sound deep, punchy, and unapologetically powerful — with a look that’s just as striking as the tone.
This head features a two-ply 14.5mil construction, giving you a thick, durable feel with loads of attack and projection. It’s designed to handle heavier playing while still delivering a dynamic, expressive response when you ease off. Tonally, the Black Chrome series is all about emphasising the low and mid frequencies. That means your tom cuts through with a full-bodied punch, while still maintaining enough sustain to feel alive and musical. It’s a great balance — controlled, but not choked.
The black mirror finish isn’t just for show (though it looks seriously slick under lights). It contributes to a slightly darker, more focused tone, helping keep overtones in check while enhancing that powerful low-end presence. At 12", it’s perfect for rack toms, giving you a tight, articulate response with depth and weight — ideal for modern rock, metal, and progressive styles where clarity and impact are key.
This is a head that means business — big sound, bold look, and built to take a proper hit.
