Evans EMAD Coated White Bass Drum Head - 24"
Evans EMAD Coated White Bass Drum Head - 24"
The Evans EMAD Coated White Bass Drum Head – 24" is all about big, authoritative low-end with total control at your fingertips. If you’re running a larger kick and want it to sound massive but tight, this is exactly where you land.
That 24" size naturally brings serious depth — you’re getting a huge, booming low end that fills the room effortlessly. But what stops it from getting out of hand is Evans’ brilliant EMAD system. With interchangeable external damping rings, you can shape your tone from a deep, resonant roar to a tight, punch-focused thump in seconds — no need to open the drum or mess around inside. The coated white finish gives the sound a slightly softer, warmer attack, smoothing out harsh click while keeping plenty of definition. It’s perfect if you want your kick to feel full and musical, rather than overly sharp or clinical.
Despite the size, it stays controlled and responsive, making it just as usable in live settings as it is in the studio. Whether you’re laying down heavy grooves or more laid-back patterns, it responds exactly how you need it to. This is the kind of head that makes a big kit feel properly dialled in — huge tone, clean control, no fuss.
It’s also one of those pieces that tends to get a proper test run in Musicmaker — because once you hear what a 24" kick can really do with the right head, there’s no going back.
