Evans EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum Head - 22"
Evans EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum Head - 22"
The Evans EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum Head – 22" is built for drummers who want maximum punch, focused attack, and serious durability — without sacrificing control. This is the kind of kick head that delivers that tight, modern low-end thump you hear across rock, metal, and pop recordings.
At its core, the EMAD2 features a two-ply construction, combining a 7mil outer ply with a 10mil inner ply. That extra thickness gives you a more defined attack, increased durability, and a tighter, more controlled response compared to single-ply options. It’s ideal for heavier hitters or anyone who wants consistency under pressure.
The real magic, though, is the EMAD (Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping) system. Instead of stuffing your kick or constantly tweaking internal dampening, you can simply swap between the included interchangeable damping rings. This lets you shape your sound from a deep, punchy thud to a tighter, more focused attack — all without removing the head or reaching inside the drum.
The clear finish adds a bit more bite and definition to the attack, helping your kick cut through a mix while still delivering that big, full low end.
It’s a proper workhorse of a head — reliable, versatile, and designed to give you control over your sound in a quick, practical way.
