Evans G2 Coated Drum Head - 13"
Evans G2 Coated Drum Head - 13"
The Evans G2 Coated Drum Head – 13" is one of those reliable, go-to heads that just makes your kit sound full, punchy, and properly balanced with minimal effort. It’s a favourite for a reason — it delivers that classic tom tone that works across almost any style.
Built with a two-ply construction, the G2 gives you a strong attack, added durability, and a focused low-end response. It’s perfect for players who want a bit more control and depth than a single-ply head, without losing that natural feel and musicality. The coated finish softens the initial attack slightly, adding a warmer, rounder character to the sound. It also helps tame excessive overtones, so your drum sits nicely in the mix without needing loads of extra dampening.
At 13", this head is a great fit for rack toms or snare applications, offering a tight, articulate response with enough body to feel full and punchy. It’s incredibly versatile too — equally at home in rock, pop, indie, funk, or studio work — making it a solid choice if you want one head that can cover a lot of ground.
This is the kind of head that makes tuning easier and your drums sound more “finished” straight away.
