Gibson Falcon 5 - 1 x 10 Combo Amplifier

Gibson Falcon 5 - 1 x 10 Combo Amplifier

What happens when Gibson dusts off its amplifier legacy and brings it screaming into the modern day? You get the Gibson Falcon 5—a compact, all-valve combo amp that doesn’t just whisper vintage tone, it sings it with confidence, colour, and warmth.

This is a proper nod to the golden era of small gig amps, drawing from the gutsy spirit of the Skylark series, but with a contemporary heart. Stripped back to the essentials—Volume, Tone, and Reverb—the Falcon 5 offers pure, unfiltered sound that reacts to your playing with the kind of dynamic, responsive touch you’d expect from boutique gear three times the price. Whether you're into gritty blues, silky jazz, or rootsy Americana, this amp speaks fluently in vintage dialect.

Sporting a single-ended, Class A power section and a gorgeous Jensen Blackbird Alnico speaker, the Falcon 5 dishes out around 7 watts of juicy, saturated tube tone at full blast—or a gentler 3 watts in low power mode, perfect for late-night sessions or recording at home without shaking the walls. It’s that sweet spot where tone starts to bloom and compress, without blowing out your eardrums.

The onboard spring reverb adds that lush, three-dimensional shimmer that makes clean tones glow and gain tones howl just a little longer. It’s honest tone through and through—no modelling, no gimmicks, just valves doing what valves do best.

Hand-built with care and simplicity, the Falcon 5 looks sharp with its old-school cabinet vibe and brushed steel control panel, but the real magic is in the sound. It’s a modern classic in the making, and a brilliant fit for anyone craving studio-grade tones in a living-room-sized box.

And here at Musicmaker, where we’ve spent over four decades matching players with their perfect sonic companions, the Falcon 5 has quickly become a staff favourite. Honest tone. Zero fuss. Just you, your guitar, and a world of glorious valve warmth.
