The Alvarez Delta00 Artist Blues Double 0 is built to capture the raw essence of American blues history. The compact Double 0 body shape gives the Delta00 an intimate, focused feel that’s perfect for fingerstyle players and traditional blues stylists. It sits comfortably against the body and responds instantly to touch, encouraging expressive phrasing and dynamic control.

At its core is a solid A+ Sitka spruce top, independently selected for clarity and responsiveness. Sitka provides articulation and projection, while the African mahogany back and sides add warmth and midrange presence. The result is a tone that delivers that compressed, bluesy “bark” when you dig in, yet opens up beautifully thanks to the refined, back-shifted scalloped bracing.

Unlike many smaller-bodied vintage-style guitars that can feel overly tight, Alvarez’s bracing approach gives the Delta00 more air and projection — blending classic compression with a slightly more modern openness.

The neck features a subtle V-shaped profile, adding to the vintage feel and providing a comfortable grip for thumb-over techniques and traditional blues voicings. A generous 2 ¼” string spacing enhances fingerstyle playability, making intricate patterns feel natural and controlled.

Visually, the Delta00 is pure classic Americana. The perfect vintage Sunburst gloss finish, grained ivoroid binding and small rectangle-style bridge give it undeniable old-school appeal. The Indian laurel fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and chrome open-gear tuners complete the traditional aesthetic while maintaining modern reliability.
