The Alvarez MD66ce Masterworks is a bold, all-solid dreadnought built for players who love the warmth, punch and woody depth of mahogany — and want it in full, unapologetic form. With solid African mahogany used for the top, back and sides, this guitar delivers a connected, focused voice that feels immediate and responsive under the hands.

Mahogany-topped dreadnoughts are known for their warmth and midrange clarity, but the MD66ce goes further. The FS6 forward-shifted, scalloped bracing system gives the top more freedom to move, producing a broader frequency response than many all-mahogany guitars. The result? Clear, defined bass, strong low-mid presence and warm, glistening trebles that sit beautifully in both solo and ensemble settings.

The dreadnought body shape ensures strong projection and headroom for confident strumming and articulate flatpicking. Add the cutaway, and you’ve got easy access to the upper frets for melodic leads and higher-register work. The 21-fret neck meets the body at the 14th fret, providing a familiar, comfortable feel.

Aesthetically, the MD66ce keeps things refined and premium. The Shadowburst gloss top adds depth and vintage drama, complemented by a natural gloss mahogany back and sides.
