Lag Guitars Tramontane 118 Dreadnought Cutaway Electro

Warm cedar tone with powerful projection and full stage control

The Lâg Tramontane T118 Dreadnought Cutaway Electro takes everything players love about the 118 series and adds full performance flexibility. With its solid red cedar top, classic dreadnought body and onboard AstroLâg electronics, this is a warm, expressive acoustic built for both unplugged sessions and amplified stage work.

At the heart of the T118 is a solid red cedar top, known for its naturally warm, mellow and harmonically rich voice. Cedar responds quickly to the lightest touch, offering expressive dynamics and smooth tonal depth. It’s particularly rewarding for singer-songwriters and players who favour nuance and warmth over sharp brightness.

The khaya back and sides provide tonal stability and clarity, balancing the cedar’s warmth with definition across the frequency spectrum. Together, this pairing delivers a full-bodied dreadnought sound with strong projection, rounded bass response and articulate mids.

In the classic dreadnought body with cutaway, the T118 offers powerful volume and confident presence, ideal for strumming, accompaniment and ensemble playing. The cutaway design provides easy access to the upper frets, opening up lead passages and modern acoustic arrangements.

Visually, the Natural gloss finish enhances the rich grain of the cedar top while giving the guitar a refined, traditional look. Brown BrankoWood is used for the fingerboard, bridge and headstock, offering durability, smooth playability and a subtle contemporary edge.

For live performance and recording, the guitar is equipped with the AstroLâg preamp system, featuring volume, 3-band EQ, brightness control, notch filter, phase switch and a built-in tuner. This comprehensive setup allows precise tonal shaping and effective feedback management, ensuring reliable performance in any venue.

The khaya neck, 43 mm compensated black graphite nut and double-action truss rod provide comfort and long-term stability. With a 650 mm scale length, 20 medium silver nickel frets and a 350 mm fingerboard radius, it offers a familiar, versatile playing feel. Oil bath machine heads with a 1:18 ratio ensure smooth, accurate tuning adjustments.

Strung with coated phosphor bronze light strings (12–52), the T118 is ready to deliver warmth, projection and reliability straight out of the case.

It’s exactly the kind of expressive, gig-ready acoustic that players appreciate discovering at Musicmaker — elegant in appearance, rich in tone and built to perform wherever you take it.
