The Ashdown Capri Bass in Shell Pink is pure vintage cool with a confident modern edge. Inspired by classic automotive design — and tipping its hat to the golden age of the Ford Capri — this finish channels 60s pop culture, British motoring style and stage-ready flair all in one striking package.

At first glance, Shell Pink feels playful and nostalgic. But plug it in and you quickly realise this is no novelty piece. Built around a 30" short scale, The Capri offers a wonderfully comfortable feel with a supple string response and tight, focused low end. The shorter scale makes it incredibly inviting to play, while still delivering punch and authority where it counts.

The roasted maple neck and roasted maple fingerboard add warmth, resonance and tonal maturity. Roasting enhances stability and gives the instrument a seasoned, lively character from day one. With 19 frets and clean 6mm black dot inlays, it keeps things traditional and player-focused.
