Fender CD-60S Left-Handed, Walnut Fingerboard, Natural

The Fender CD-60S Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar – Natural is proof that beginner-friendly guitars do not have to feel basic. Built for comfort, reliability, and rich acoustic tone, the CD-60S has become one of Fender’s most popular acoustic models worldwide — and for left-handed players especially, it offers an accessible way into the Fender acoustic family without compromise.

From the moment you pick it up, the guitar feels welcoming. The body produces a full, balanced dreadnought voice with plenty of warmth and projection, making it equally enjoyable for first chords, relaxed home playing, songwriting sessions, and proper singalong moments. Whether strumming aggressively or playing lighter fingerpicked passages, the CD-60S responds with a rounded, musical tone that feels far more mature than many entry-level acoustics.

A major part of that comes from the solid spruce top, which gives the guitar excellent clarity, resonance, and dynamic range. Unlike fully laminated beginner instruments, a solid top allows the guitar to open up tonally over time, rewarding players as the instrument matures with regular playing.

The walnut fingerboard adds a smooth, comfortable playing feel, while Fender’s easy-playing neck profile makes chord transitions and longer practice sessions far less intimidating for newer players. The left-handed design ensures natural comfort and proper setup for southpaw guitarists, something that still feels surprisingly rare in many acoustic ranges.

Visually, the CD-60S keeps things classic and timeless with its natural finish and understated Fender styling. It’s the kind of guitar that looks exactly like what it is meant to be: dependable, versatile, and built to encourage players to keep picking it up every day.

At Musicmaker, the Fender CD-60S Left-Handed remains one of the easiest acoustics to recommend because it strikes such a strong balance between affordability, comfort, sound quality, and long-term playability.
