Taylor 14ce Torrified Spruce / Sapele
Taylor 14ce Torrified Spruce / Sapele
The Taylor 14ce is a versatile acoustic-electric that blends the warmth of a seasoned guitar with the crisp responsiveness of a modern build. Its torrefied spruce top has been carefully heat-treated to enhance resonance and stability, giving you the rich, open tone of a well-played-in instrument from day one. Paired with layered sapele back and sides, it delivers a balanced sound with clear highs, focused mids, and a supportive low end that works beautifully for both fingerpicking and strumming.
The Grand Auditorium body shape is Taylor’s all-rounder—comfortable to hold, adaptable to multiple playing styles, and equally at home in intimate acoustic settings or plugged-in performance. Inside, V-Class bracing increases sustain, improves intonation, and allows each note to bloom with greater harmonic depth.
A slim maple neck with satin finish feels fast and comfortable, topped with a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard that offers smooth playability and a crisp, articulate attack. The Venetian cutaway gives you easy access to the highest frets, inviting exploration across the full range of the instrument.
For live performance, the onboard Fishman Sonitone GT-2 preamp keeps your tone natural and dynamic, with discreet tone and volume controls tucked just inside the soundhole for quick adjustments without interrupting the guitar’s clean aesthetic. Finished in satin with tasteful dot inlays, chrome hardware, and a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, the 14ce has an understated elegance that matches its sonic sophistication. A Taylor gig bag is included for safe transport and storage.
