Aquila NYLGUT 43cm, a-e-c-G-D-A Guitalele String Set - 96c
Aquila NYLGUT 43cm, a-e-c-G-D-A Guitalele String Set - 96c
Aquila’s 96C Nylgut string set is the go-to choice for guitalele players seeking that elusive balance of traditional tone and modern reliability. Designed specifically for instruments with a 43 cm (17-inch) scale length, this set is tuned A to A (a-e-c-G-D-A) and offers a tonal palette that’s reminiscent of classic gut strings—but with the durability and stability of a synthetic material. Nylgut is Aquila’s proprietary blend, engineered to mimic the warmth and tonal complexity of gut while resisting changes in humidity and temperature—a key advantage for musicians playing in Ireland’s famously changeable climate.
The trebles (A, E, C, G) offer a rich, mellow voice that sings with clarity and depth, while the basses (D, A), wound in silver-plated copper over a Nylgut core, provide warmth and presence without muddiness. These strings settle quickly, hold their pitch, and feel silky under the fingers. Whether you’re a ukulele player expanding into guitalele territory or a guitarist looking to explore nylon textures in a portable format, the 96C set brings a refined, balanced sound to your music.
