Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9 Pedal
Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9 Pedal
The Icon. The Original. And, like me, Still Screaming. The Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer is the overdrive pedal that changed everything—and it still stands as one of the most recognisable and relied-upon stompboxes in the history of electric guitar. Whether you're chasing Stevie Ray grit, bluesy breakup, or that tight, mid-focused boost for your high-gain amp, the TS9 delivers with unmistakable tone and timeless reliability.
Born in the early 1980s and reborn again and again through generations of guitarists, the TS9 preserves the same vintage analogue circuitry and warm, tube-like breakup that made the original a legend. Its midrange hump is the secret sauce—cutting through the mix without sounding harsh, making it the perfect solo shaper, rhythm warmer, or clean boost companion.
The three-knob layout—Overdrive, Tone, and Level—makes dialling in your sound effortless, whether you're stacking it with other pedals, driving a clean amp into creamy saturation, or tightening up a metal rig with preamp punch. It’s as effective on stage as it is in the studio, and rugged enough to withstand a lifetime of gigs.
At Musicmaker, we’ve seen the TS9 bring countless pedalboards to life. It's a staple, a gateway, a classic—for blues players, metalheads, and tone purists alike.
