Unlike other student violins at this price, the Student 1 violin is carved from solid wood compared to composite woods or laminates. The top of the Student 1 violin is spruce, while the back and sides of the violin are maple. This traditional combination of wood produces a focused sound with plenty of tonal warmth.

For an added touch of luxury, the Student 1 violin uses pegs crafted from high-quality dark pau rosa which is visually pleasing, while also being environmentally friendly. Once the violin has been completed, it is finished with a mid brown varnish for a vintage appearance.

Everything You Need

Included with the Stentor Student 1 violin is a lightweight hard case with plenty of storage. For ease of use, the case includes backpack carrying straps so commuting is never an issue. Stentor has even included a transparent pocket for a name tag to ensure your violin never gets mixed up with others. The large pocket found on the outside of the case is perfect for storing any large accessories, while the reflective piping ensures you can always be seen. The inside of the case can hold up to two different bows, and even features a second accessory pocket - ideal for your rosin.

Also included in a bow crafted from quality wood that is octagonally shaped for a comfortable grip when performing. Similar to more expensive bows, the bow features an ebony frog, bright lapping, a comfortable thumb grip and a three-piece looking end screw for a premium look. This bow uses natural horse hair for the best possible sound and is suitable for any full size violin.
