The Donner STARRYPAD MIDI Pad Controller is built for producers, beat makers, DJs, and performers who prefer tapping out rhythms rather than clicking them with a mouse. Combining responsive performance pads, hands-on controls, and broad software compatibility, the STARRYPAD transforms your laptop into a fully interactive music production workstation that's equally at home in the studio, on stage, or at your desk.

At the centre of the STARRYPAD are 16 velocity-sensitive silicone performance pads, designed to feel responsive under your fingers whether you're programming drums, triggering samples, launching loops, or controlling effects. With three instantly accessible pad banks, you have up to 48 assignable pads available at the touch of a button, giving you plenty of flexibility for even the most demanding live sets or production sessions.

The pads don't just perform brilliantly—they look the part too. Featuring fully customisable RGB backlighting with seven vibrant colour options, you can organise drum kits, sample groups, instruments, and performance layouts using colour as a visual guide, making live performance and workflow even more intuitive. Beyond the pads themselves, the STARRYPAD gives you extra control over your software with two assignable faders, two rotary knobs, and three programmable buttons. The dedicated Shift function unlocks an additional layer of control, effectively doubling the available commands without adding unnecessary clutter to the compact layout.

Timing is everything when producing music, and the STARRYPAD includes practical creative tools to keep everything locked in. Tap Tempo allows you to synchronise quickly with your DAW's BPM, while the ultra-responsive Note Repeat function makes creating hi-hat rolls, snare fills, trap beats, and electronic grooves fast, accurate, and incredibly satisfying.

Connectivity is refreshingly straightforward. USB-C provides simple plug-and-play operation with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices, while the included MIDI In and Out connections allow you to integrate vintage drum machines, hardware synthesizers, and external MIDI equipment into your setup with ease. To help new producers hit the ground running, Donner also includes access to Cubase LE and Melodics learning courses, providing an excellent introduction to beat making, finger drumming, and music production techniques.
