Roland RPB-D100RW Double Piano Bench, Rosewood

Roland RPB-D100RW Double Piano Bench, Rosewood

The Roland RPB-D100RW Double Piano Bench in Rosewood is a smart, sturdy and properly comfortable seating solution for pianists who need a little more room at the keyboard. With its wide duet-sized seat, solid wood construction, cushioned vinyl top and built-in storage compartment, it's equally at home beside a digital piano, acoustic piano or home keyboard setup.

The key difference between the RPB-D100RW and a standard single piano stool is its generous 750mm-wide seat. There's enough space for two players to sit side by side, making it ideal for piano lessons, teacher-and-student sessions, parent-and-child practice and four-hand duet playing. It's also rather luxurious if you're using the whole thing yourself. We won't judge.

That extra width is especially useful with digital pianos featuring Twin Piano, Dual Piano or similar split-keyboard teaching modes, where two players can practise together in the same register. Rather than squeezing two separate stools into position, both players can sit comfortably at one properly proportioned bench.

Roland uses solid wood construction, giving the RPB-D100RW the reassuring stability you'd want from something that's going to spend years sitting in front of a piano. The elegant rosewood finish gives it a warmer, more traditional appearance than the usual black piano furniture, making it a particularly handsome partner for compatible rosewood-finish digital and acoustic pianos.

Up top, the cushioned vinyl seat provides comfortable support through lessons, practice sessions and longer playing periods. Unlike adjustable benches, the RPB-D100RW uses a fixed-height design, keeping things wonderfully straightforward with no mechanisms or knobs to adjust.

Lift the seat and you'll discover another genuinely useful feature: a built-in storage compartment. It's a convenient place to keep sheet music and smaller piano accessories close at hand rather than allowing them to develop their traditional habitat in several untidy piles around the piano.

The bench measures approximately 750mm wide, 350mm deep and 555mm high, with a weight of around 8.5kg. It's substantial enough to feel stable without becoming a permanent piece of architecture once you've decided to rearrange the room.

For anyone looking for a double piano bench in Ireland, the Roland RPB-D100RW is a particularly tidy solution for homes, teaching studios, music schools and piano rooms. The combination of duet-friendly dimensions, storage, cushioning and solid wood construction makes it practical enough for daily use while the Rosewood finish keeps everything looking suitably classy.

At Musicmaker, we're big fans of piano accessories that quietly solve several problems at once. This gives you seating for two, somewhere to hide the sheet music and considerably less chance of teacher and student fighting over the good stool.

Harmony before you've even played a note. Not bad.
