The innovative Matchbook™ stands out as the first patented pickup explicitly designed for the Cigar Box Guitar, employing Lace’s™ Alumitone® "Current Driven" design. The Matchbook™ is artfully crafted to resemble an actual matchbook, featuring a single magnet as the "striker."

Maintaining Lace's commitment to meticulous craftsmanship, the collection of Lace™ Cigar Box Guitars is constructed with a hand-built approach, utilising high-quality materials such as mahogany and a double truss Hard Rock Maple neck for optimal stability.

The bridge design incorporates a steel plate, providing 20mm of adjustability for precise intonation of each string. The tuners, reminiscent of classic vintage instruments, are of the open gear type and boast a 14:1 gear ratio, combining functionality with a nod to timeless design.
