Planet Waves Pro-Winder String Winder and Cutter
Planet Waves Pro-Winder String Winder and Cutter
The Planet Waves Pro-Winder String Winder and Cutter is the Swiss Army knife of string-changing tools—compact, durable, and absolutely essential for every guitarist or bassist who values speed, precision, and ease when it’s time to restring. Designed by the folks at D’Addario with players in mind, this all-in-one tool streamlines your string maintenance routine like a dream.
At one end, you’ve got a smooth-turning string winder, built to fit tuning machines for electric, acoustic, and bass guitars. It spins easily, reducing the hand strain of manual winding and getting you back to playing in record time. Flip it around, and you’ll find a high-quality hardened steel clipper, sharp enough to snip through even the thickest low E without fraying or fatigue. There’s even a built-in bridge pin puller, cleverly moulded into the handle, so you can safely remove acoustic bridge pins without risking damage to your guitar top.
At Musicmaker, we’ve sworn by the Pro-Winder for years—it’s in our kits, our cases, and our tech benches. Whether you're a touring musician, weekend warrior, or just tired of juggling separate tools, the Pro-Winder is the one-and-done solution that gets the job done—cleanly, quickly, and reliably.
