A good microphone deserves a stand that simply stays where you put it, and the Quiklok A/302 Microlite Tripod Microphone Stand is built to do exactly that. Lightweight enough for regular gigging but sturdy enough for rehearsal rooms, stages and home studios, it combines Quiklok’s Microlite tubular-steel construction with a wide tripod base and a practical fixed-length boom.

The stand adjusts from 97cm to 163cm in height, while its 77cm fixed boom gives you plenty of positioning freedom for vocals, guitar amps, acoustic instruments and other microphone duties. The tripod spreads to approximately 72cm, providing a stable footprint without turning the stand into an unnecessarily heavy lump of metal. At around 1.65kg, it remains pleasantly portable when the gig involves stairs — because somehow the gig always involves stairs.

Quiklok’s ABS composite boom swivel is designed for smooth, secure adjustment, with an ergonomic clamp allowing the boom angle and positioning to be handled quickly. The main stand uses a soft-grip clutch for height adjustment, while scratch-resistant contact points and included microphone cable-management clips keep the whole setup tidy. The black, non-reflective baked-enamel finish also makes perfect sense under stage lighting.

Folded down, the A/302 measures approximately 92cm, making it easy to throw into the rest of the gigging gear. It’s an uncomplicated piece of equipment, which is exactly what a microphone stand should be: set it up, position the mic and forget about it.
